The Ouachita National Forest covers much of west-central Arkansas and extends into Oklahoma. The Buckville Recreation Area, where Homecoming occurs each year, is one of many camp and picnic sites in the forest that is maintained by the USDA Forest Service and the Army Corps of Engineers.
